Principal Dentist

Mr Dhevraj Paratian BDS Glasgow GDC 64277

Dhevraj has been working in practice for 29 years. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including cosmetic orthodontics like fastbraces and six month smiles. He likes to keep up to date with new developments in dentistry and gets excited about technological advances such as CAD-CAM - scanning and milling of crowns on the premises. He has a passion for improving patients’ experience at the practice and encourages all members of the team to regularly keep up to date with courses and further training. In his spare time, Dhevraj enjoys cooking, eating, yoga and golf.

Associate Dentists

Mr Stuart Hadden BDS Dundee GDC 208896

Stuart is originally from Edinburgh and returned here after graduating from Dundee University in 2011. He joined Stockbridge Dental Practice in 2017 after completing a three year postgraduate certificate in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry at Tipton Training Ltd in Manchester. He is passionate about his job and loves to see patients smiling at the end of their treatment. He particularly enjoys preventative dentistry, Invisalign, advanced teeth whitening treatments and minimally invasive dentistry. Stuart has a calm and relaxed manner, which is ideal for anybody who is anxious but also with his diligent approach to treatment planning he will be sure to get you the smile you have been looking for. In his spare time, Stuart enjoys skiing, gym, walking the dog and spending time with family.

Mrs Lydia Crawley BDS Dundee GDC 208892

Lydia is originally from Edinburgh and returned here after graduating from University of Dundee in 2011. She has been working at Stockbridge Dental Practice ever since, with a small break in London in between. Lydia is a very warm and caring dentist who likes to make patients feel at ease as soon as they walk in the room. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but particularly enjoys surgical procedures and restorative dentistry. Lydia is recently back from maternity leave following the birth of her first child and is continuing her postgraduate training in advanced restorative dentistry and facial aesthetics. In her spare time she enjoys travelling around the world and spending time with her husband and baby girl.

Hygienist - Therapist

Rachel Kidd BSc (Hons)Oral Health Science Edin GDC 264515

Rachel joined Stockbridge Dental Practice in January 2018. As part of the hygiene therapy team she adopts a gentle, but thorough approach to make all patients feel at ease, especially nervous patients. She enjoys providing preventative dental care for adults and children as well as motivating them by finding easier and more efficient ways for them to improve their oral health. Rachel works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our hygiene therapy programme up to date with the latest guidelines and continues to encourage others to learn about how to get the best results but also keeping the hygiene appointments as comfortable as possible. In her spare time, Rachel helps to run a Brownie unit, loves tap dancing and spending time with friends and family.

Grace Dillet BSc Oral Health Science Dundee GDC 270704

Grace joined Stockbridge Dental Practice in April 2018 after graduating from the University of Dundee. Grace particularly loves working with children - carrying out preventative and restorative dentistry. She also enjoys individually tailoring patient oral hygiene routines and being able to see transformation in their oral health. She is determined to find ways to help patients get to and maintain the most difficult areas and enjoys seeing improvements when patients come back for their next appointment. Grace has led the team in fundraising for a homeless charity to help provide information and advice about dental care in the community and has worked hard to provide dental products for those less privileged as there is currently no service for this in Edinburgh. Her caring and compassionate nature makes her a very valued member of the team. In her spare time, Grace enjoys socialising with friends and family, exercising and travelling abroad.

Dental Nurses

Aminah Mahmood GDC 277681

Aminah joined Stockbridge Dental Practice in 2015 and has been working as head nurse for the last two years. Her roles involve helping to teach the trainee dental nurses, managing the rota on a weekly basis as well as keeping the practice running smoothly. She is also our implant co-ordinator and looks after all our patients who are receiving implant treatment at the practice. She loves working as an implant nurse and seeing the results of more complex implant procedures. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Marta Andruszewicz GDC 228094

Marta joined the practice in 2016. She loves seeing our patients smile as it feels rewarding to be part of a team that helps people to do so. She loves working with all the different dentists and hygiene therapists because she continues to learn new things every day. In her spare time, Marta loves to travel. She is a huge animal lover and has two dogs called Lola and Diego. She has a loving husband and two beautiful daughters who fill her heart with happiness.

Emilia Stawiszynska GDC 288968

Emilia joined the practice in 2018 and qualified as a dental nurse in February 2020. She is also qualified as a dental technician so really enjoys the cosmetic lab work cases of crowns, bridges and dentures. She has a particular interest in the CAD-CAM technology and is training to help with the design and milling of same day crowns. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and spending time with her children.
